Welcome
Southernland Music is a creative music project inspired by Scripture, imagination, and a passion for exploring different musical styles. Each release takes a unique approach, drawing from a wide range of influences and genres while remaining grounded in biblical themes and storytelling.
Our first release, Psalms Unbound, reimagines the timeless words and emotions of the Psalms through a modern rock sound. Future projects may head in entirely different directions, embracing new genres, sounds, and creative ideas.
Rather than being defined by a single style, Southernland Music exists to bring Scripture to life through music that is honest, thoughtful, and engaging. Whether loud or quiet, familiar or unexpected, every project begins with the same foundation: stories, truths, and reflections drawn from God’s Word.
Our Vision
Southernland Music exists to bring Scripture to life through creative and engaging music. Many of the songs draw inspiration from the Psalms and other biblical themes, reimagining ancient words and timeless truths through modern sounds and contemporary production.
No single genre defines the project. Each release is free to explore different musical landscapes, from rock and electronic music to orchestral arrangements and beyond. The focus is always on creating music that connects with people while remaining rooted in the message of Scripture.
We also embrace new creative tools, including AI, as part of the songwriting and production process. These tools do not replace the ideas, faith, or purpose behind the music. Instead, they help shape and develop concepts, opening new possibilities for artistic expression.
The vision is simple: to create music that is thoughtful, creative, and biblically inspired, while exploring fresh ways to tell the stories and communicate the truths found in God’s Word.
Psalms Unbound
Psalms Unbound is the debut album from Southernland Music, a collection of songs inspired by the raw emotions, struggles, questions, and victories found throughout the Book of Psalms.
Drawing influence from classic hard rock and heavy rock, the album combines powerful guitars, driving rhythms, and memorable melodies with lyrics rooted in Scripture. Rather than following current musical trends, Psalms Unbound embraces a sound that feels familiar to fans of traditional rock while bringing ancient biblical themes into a modern context.
Each song explores a different aspect of the Psalms, from hope and celebration to doubt, perseverance, and trust in God. These timeless words continue to speak into the realities of everyday life, reminding us that the experiences of faith have changed far less than we might think.
Psalms Unbound is available now on major streaming platforms.
Neon Psalms (Coming Soon)
Neon Psalms is the first full album from Southernland Music, and it began with a simple idea:
What if worship music could sound different?
This project blends a hint of the past with modern arranging, using warm synth-wave textures, strings, electric guitars, and atmospheric sounds to create something fresh — something that doesn’t sound like any other worship album.
Each track is inspired by a Psalm and reimagined in a way that invites stillness, reflection, and wonder. It’s worship shaped by Scripture, creativity, and a desire to explore new sonic spaces while keeping the heart of worship at the centre.
Neon Psalms will be released on major streaming platforms in the future.

About the Creator
Southernland Music is an Australian music project inspired by Scripture, creativity, and a passion for exploring different musical styles. Each release is built around biblical themes and stories, interpreted through original music that seeks to be both engaging and thought provoking.
While modern technology, including AI, plays a role in the songwriting and production process, the creative direction remains intentional and personal. The goal is to create music that is meaningful, honest, and grounded in God’s Word, while allowing each project to develop its own unique sound and identity.
